Work experience
Parabol (USA) Senior → Principal Product Designer
Remote
2021 – 2024
I led design direction across teams and functions for a variety of strategic projects, all while defining and scoping work in order to lead our teams to a more efficient execution and learning loop. I led activities to help our teams align to strategy, clarify goals, and prioritize our work, and determined what kind of research and validation was needed for any specific project.
Established design patterns and direction that cross-team members used to improve user experience and to raise our levels of quality, as well as a cross-team framework for designers to share work in progress, receive constructive feedback, learn from each other, and ensure that work aligned to company strategy. Determined when design work met quality standards and strategic goals and identified key areas where our product and user experience was falling behind and scoped new direction and project plans. I also established a refinement process and led efforts to improve our product’s accessibility.
Mentored more junior members and helped them navigate their own career paths and sourced talent across all company roles and levels.
